This stage is about setting your puppy up to cope with the world.

🔹 Stage 2: DEVELOPMENT

Focus: regulation, focus, real-life skills

As puppies grow and adolescence begins, behaviour changes. Energy increases, distractions matter more, and independence emerges.

This stage focuses on:

• helping dogs regulate arousal and excitement
• developing focus around the world
• shaping responses to real-life situations
• adjusting guidance as your dog matures
• Revisiting the basics - understanding regression
• learning to read body language - physical and emotional changes

• clearer expectations through adolescence
• practical skills that actually work outside

🔹 Stage 3: MASTERY

Focus: reliability, adaptability, confidence

This stage is about refinement — not perfection.

• support adaptability in new environments
• reinforce calm behaviour alongside activity - settling
• help you trust your dog’s responses and they trust yours
• where the focus, patience and commitment shines through
